Point System and Prizes
This year will be a little different for the prizes that children/teens/adults earn. Books/audiobooks will be logged on an online program called ReadSquared (instructions are below). Based on the program you are registered for and the amount of items you read/listen to, you will earn points. You can then use these points to “purchase” prizes from your programs prize store. On the awards day in July, each participant’s prizes will be put together and made available along with a reading certificate for the summer.
Many have asked if we are still doing the coupon prizes. The short answer is, YES! We still are. We were just fortunate enough this year to be able to offer additional prizes as an incentive for all participants and as a thank you for supporting our library this summer!
We would like to thank the following organizations for their support through donations of coupons and prize materials!
Freed Hardeman University Book Store
McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, Jacks
Thank you to the Teen Advisory Board for their wonderful work on decorations for this years program!

LEGO Contest
For 2022, the Chester County Library will be hosting our 4th annual LEGO Creation Competition. The theme this year is the ocean, so we encourage submissions following the theme such as of fish, oceans scenes, coral reef, ocean animals, etc. Any submissions must be original works. You get more points for not using a kit. Need ideas? The library has several great LEGO creation books available for checkout!
Entries are divided between entering preschool-1st grade, 2nd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade.
Submissions are due July 1, 2022.
Full contest information and entry sheet with submission tag can be viewed here: 2022 Lego Contest Info & Registration.
