About Us

 

Mission Statement
     The Chester County Public Library is a public institution providing services and resource information to meet the community residents' personal, educational, and professional needs.  Special emphasis is placed on providing popular reading, listening, and viewing materials, and to stimulate young children's interest and appreciation for reading and learning.
 

With your library card you may check out:

Five hardbacks or eight paperback books - due back in two weeks
Two videos or DVDs per household - due back in two days
Two audio tapes or per card - due back in one week
One cake pan per household - due back in one week
One Hotspot per household - due back in one week

Overdue fines are:
Books - Five cents per book per day
Videos or DVDs - $2.00 per day
Audio tapes - $1.00 per day
Cake pans - $1.00 per day
Hotspots - $5.00 for first two days, then $50.00*

You MUST have your card to check out library materials.


*Hotspots may NOT be renewed.  You must be 18 or older to check one out.
Hotspots must be returned inside the library.  Do not place them in the dropbox.




You may call to renew library materials, and you may renew materials three times.
